Do you want to help your military family? As a current Military Service Member, Veteran, or family member, your participation in research is a way of giving back to your own communities. In order to understand the challenges you and your peers may face, we need your voice in creating knowledge that can be turned into services, programs, and policies.

Do you want to help your fellow student veterans?

  • Completed military basic/initial entry training?
  • Current full-time student who is a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior and attending in-person classes?
  • Have a VA disability rating?

We want your participation in this study aimed at predicting career interest and goal persistence in student veterans!

Dr. Chung-Yi Chiu and Dr. Dustin Lange (USMC Veteran) from the University of Illinois are conducting a study about career transition among student veterans. Interested students who complete the survey package will receive a $20 gift card. You may be eligible to participate in a research study focused on understanding the usefulness of online informational and decision making tools for Veterans.

What's in it for me?

  • Exposure to online informational and decision making tools designed for Veterans
  • You may experience the online tools as helpful
  • Up to $75 in gift cards for completing 3 study assessments

You will help us learn the best ways to support Veterans

If you choose to participate: (1) you will be asked to complete self-report questionnaires about your background; (2) you will be invited to use online informational and decision making tools designed for Veterans; and (3) you will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the online tools. You will also be asked to complete 3 assessments during your study participation.

  • Initial engagement with online tool: 1 hour
  • 1-month online follow-up: 0.5-1 hour
  • 3-month online follow-up: 0.5-1 hour
