Military Courses

The Center offers two courses during the fall semester specifically for military-connected students (active duty, veterans, and members of the National Guard/Reserves). Former students have praised these courses for helping with their transition to Illinois, establishing an academic foundation, and providing many career and networking opportunities.

Veterans Transition & Leadership

The class is small, and students will engage in various reflective reading and writing assignments and learn about assistive resources on campus and within the community. The hero’s journey is a common theme explored throughout the course, and students will spend time thinking about their personal mission and how they want to maximize their time at Illinois.
