2019 Veterans Day Event

The University of Illinois Chez Veterans Center is proud to announce our 2019 Veterans Day Event, in partnership with the University of Illinois College of Applied Health Sciences, Carle Foundation Hospital, the University of Illinois Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute, and the University of Illinois Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology:

In celebration of Veterans Day 2019, this event aims to foster dialogue between Military Service Members, Veterans, caregivers, Illinois experts, and providers about Traumatic Brain Injury. TBI is the signature wound for the post 9/11 era of Veterans, yet remains largely “invisible” regarding detection, symptoms, and recovery. This event will bring to light the complexity of TBI and in doing so will help advance both research and services designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life for Veterans and their caregivers.

Continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be available.

Partial support for this event is provided by the Olga G. Nalbandov Lecture Funds at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
